had to buy a disposable camera due to a camera malfunction so have to get the images developed
June 2008 Day 2 paddling north of Ullapool

East coast training spots.
Although not as impressive as the west coast, the east coast has some hidden gems, with regard to conditions and also scenery. Also, the east coast generally has less rain.
Freshwater Loch paddling.
Although freshwater Lochs can dip to below 3 degrees C in mid winter, it is still possible to paddle on them with 7mm boot, winter suit, gloves, hood. Some of the best glassy days can actually be had in the winter!
Especially with freshwater Lochs, please bear in mind that people have fishing rights and you may not be welcome. Always disenfect your paddleboard or any other watercraft if you paddle in different Lochs due to a parasite. If you introduce it into a Loch, it could kill the fish stocks.
